Project Description:
The project provides free dental care to low-income individuals in the community, especially to help rural communities by providing dental care to those whose oral health is severely affected with limited access to care due to distance, difficulty of access or lack of professionals. Since 2015, the Rotary Club has been dedicated to organizing and conducting dental outreach programs in both 1-day and 5-day formats. These programs benefit school communities and nursing homes (for the 1-day programs) and rural communities (for the 5-day programs), reaching over 11,000 patients in recent years. Services have included primary care such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and fillings, as well as specialized treatments such as root canals, complex oral surgeries, osseo-integrated implants, and removable prostheses.
The social and personal impact on patients is immeasurable. This project has transformed the lives of entire families, giving them the opportunity to improve their health, self-esteem, and employment prospects, thus enhancing their quality of life.

Project Description:
This project aims to restore educational spaces in highly vulnerable schools. This project will improve the conditions of classrooms, hallways, and common areas. This will provide a more welcoming and motivating school environment that contributes to the emotional well-being and learning for students and staff. This restoration will install lasting physical improvements that will last and reinforce the sense of wanting to learn. The municipality provides a list of 5 schools with the lowest SEP resources, located in areas with the greatest need and not being served by other initiatives. The project will be implemented in 2 public schools.
The project consists of painting the exterior / interior painting including supplies. Install 2 double metal swings (park-style); two prefabricated slides for a children's play area; and wooden benches and simple, robust outdoor furniture.

Project Description:
The project aims to guarantee the right to education for children and adolescents in situations of illness- Nursery to 12th grade. These students had their schooling interrupted due to physical or mental health conditions.
The project aims to install a second classroom to meet the educational needs of children receiving long-term care at the hospital. The demand in the last 3 years increased by 28%. The classroom is a 15 square-meter modular structure with an attached bathroom and a maximum capacity of 8 students. A 5 square-meter terrace is attached to the classroom. Admission to the hospital school requires a medical referral. The length of stay for students varies, depending on their clinical progress.

Project Description:
The project aims to strengthen the school environment, positive coexistence, and the prevention of risky behavior, it is observed that students require more space for guided, safe and entertaining recreation during breaks and waiting times. The goal is to promote a participatory, active and healthy environment that becomes a space well-being and build friendship. This project shifts the focus of students away from excessive screen time at school and towards interactive games, improving the school climate and the behavior of the students which will help the relations outside of the school.
Project includes the purchase and implementation of accessible recreational equipment for all students. Locations will be on the covered outdoor school playgrounds, indoor equipment room.

Project Description:
The project consists of enabling setting up a work, education, and communication room designed to strengthen the functions of the Universal Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Luis Calvo Mackenna Childrens’s Hospital. This unit supports pediatric patients with life-threatening or life-limiting illnesses, alleviating their physical, emotional, social and spiritual being. We want to provide comprehensive support to their caregivers through a multidisciplinary approach.
The space will allow for 3 essential functions:
- Clinical and administrative work at desks and computer equipment.
- Education for caregivers regarding hygiene, medication preparation and safe administration.
- Communication and emotional support in a private environment to handle difficult conversations addressing care planning with individuals and family members.
Project needs are to implement the room to allow the room to be functional. Installing inner walls for separation, purchase tables, electrical outlets, possible computer equipment and storage units.

Project Description:
This project aims to acquire 2 technological tools for the Paine Fire Department that will allow improvement for firefighters to act more effectively and safely by accessing inaccessible areas by providing an aerial view of the situation, detect hot spots, supports search and rescue operations, and monitor emergencies in real time. This will contribute to reducing risk for firefighters and improving communication during emergencies.
Five fire stations located in the following areas will benefit from this equipment - Central Paine, Champa, Huelquen, and Aculeo.

Project Description:
This project strengthens screening, timely diagnosis, and conservative management of lipedema through training of primary care staff. This will include raising awareness by conducting a free diagnostic campaign for women suspected of having the disease, providing medical, nutritional, physical therapy and psychosocial guidance to women. Supply educational materials to promote self-care and continuity of care in primary healthcare.
Lipedema is a chronic, progressive, and little-known disease that mainly affects women and is characterized by abnormal accumulation of adipose tissue, pain, and inflammation with significant physical and psycho-emotional consequences. In Chile, thousands of women live with this condition without diagnosis or adequate treatment.
This project will provide training for the medical professionals needed, provide materials of information to create awareness of the disease and minimize the misconception of this disease to potentially other more life-threatening diseases.

Project Description:
This project is to support the physical rehabilitation of users registered at CESFAM Dr. Orlando Leyton A, Peralillo Commune, through the acquisition of equipment for the musculoskeletal rehabilitation room. Musculoskeletal ailments would include results from post-hip and knee surgeries, along with strengthening motor function in older people, young people and children. This much needed equipment will significantly reduce session times, reduced waiting time for patients to receive care.
Funding will cover the purchase of equipment, advertising, inauguration of the rehabilitation room, needed supplies or materials, preventive maintenance. The equipment purchased will be rehabilitation machines, bicycles, needed supplies and materials.
